Adding a Water Service to Water Tables

Some municipalities have existing lead water services. That type service is not available from the Water Service list in the application Water Distribution. Once it has been added and saved it will be available to choose.
To add Lead as a material in the Water Service dialog box in Water Distribution, follow the instructions below.

Click on Start and find the program group Water Distribution in Programs. Then choose Tables as shown below.
- When Water Tables opens choose Water Service from the menu. The dialog box shown below will open.
- Scroll to the bottom of the list, click on the last row in the list and then click the Append button as shown below. This will add a blank row below the last row in the list. Pull the scroll button down and you will see the new blank row as shown below.
- Make sure the focus is in the top edit row headed Description.
- Type 5/8" Lead for the Description and press the Tab key.
- Type .625 for the inside diameter in the Diameter column and press the Tab key.
- Type 120 for the C value in the C Value column. Your screen should look like the one below.
- When it does click OK.
- Now set the focus on the last row (5/8" Lead) Lead and click Append again.
- Type 3/4" Lead for the Description and press the Tab key.
- Type .750 for the inside diameter in the Diameter column and press the Tab key.
- Type 120 for the C value in the C Value column.
- Click OK.
- Now set the focus on the last row again (3/4" Lead) and click Append.
- Type 1" Lead for the Description and press the Tab key.
- Type 1.000 for the inside diameter in the Diameter column and press the Tab key.
- Type 120 for the C value in the C Value column.
- Click OK. Your screen should look like the one below.
- The last item is to save this table. Click the Save button as shown below to retain these entries and use them in the Water Service dialog box of WAter Distribution.
- The data for lead water services as entered here is approved for use in the cities of Milwaukee and Wauwatosa, WI.
- The Water Service dialog box in Water Distribution is shown below with 3/4" Lead chosen at 14.6 GPM
